The Art Of Penmanship penpal Age old remedies.

However quick and easy the e/mail is :
There is something to be said about letter writing...
The Art Of Penmanship...
For a period of I guess nrly 20 yrs I have had penpals that have come and gone
most of whom I have met and them us....
Because of my penfriend Miras husbands job as an airline pilot they have moved several times
over the years one of my vivits taking me to a small town in Connecticut where they were
dependent among other things on a septic tank buried deeply in the ground...
After an evenings entertainment... not being on the national grid.. The water pump decided
to give out an dark orange goo coming from all the pipes...
So we had no water to drink bathe or shower or flush the toilets normal everyday things of life..
The plumber being away; Miras husband had just left on a flight to Tel Aviv..
Neighbours of a distance of up to 30 miles rallied round to help. Gave us drinking water,
meals and showers where needed.
At that time there were the hurricanes in Florida where many were still without power etc.,
candles among other things being sent from all over the u.s
On returning to her home I had a problem with a toenail which was becoming somewhat painful...
The toe looking quite swollen too....
Mira ever ready went to her pantry and returned with a green old fashioned loooking tin..
Trust me she said try this ointment it works wonders...
On reading the label was amazed to read;
'For minor congestion of the udder thoroughly wash treated teats.
The name being ' Bag Balm' Lyndonville Vermont.. It was for cows....
The black and white ones no doubt.
Mira replying ' we didn't live in Vermont for nothing'..
All I can say is it was a complete cure the bruising and pain going...
Not that I am recomending this for any of you reading but it worked for me!
